In the fall of 2019, Delphine Lopez curated the exhibition Masquerade at the new Dakar location of Cecile Fakhoury gallery, which had opened in May of the previous year.
We were lucky to visit Dakar during this period, and eager to pay a second visit to the gallery to finally see Aboudia‘s work in Africa. The works presented were quite different from Aboudia’s darker and busier canvases. They oozed light and lightness, a more joyous energy.
