Chioma Ebinama practice is a fine balance between her exquisitely delicate and dreamy drawing and the sharpness of their message. Opportunities to acquire works took time to materialize, until quite unexpectedly to us, The Breeder, one of the most forward-thinking contemporary art galleries in Athens and whose owners we had met a couple of summer before organized Ambra Nera a group show featuring artists from Africa and its diaspora. The intersection of Athens, Africa and artists we admired proved too much to resist. Chioma presented several works from her Penumbra series previously exhibited at Catinca Tabacaru. Two very delicate small drawings on custom made paper joined us. We learned soon after that Chioma Ebinama has settled in Greece.
